Brian Brobbey, a Dutch forward of Ghanaian heritage, has returned to his former club, Ajax Amsterdam.
In recent weeks, the gifted striker has been in the transfer news, with speculations claiming that he could be moving to England.
Despite the fact that Manchester United’s new manager, Erik ten Hag, wanted to sign him, the striker has decided to return to the Netherlands to fill in for Ivorian striker Sebastien Haller, who left Ajax this summer to join Borussia Dortmund.
The youthful forward has already joined his teammates in Austria for pre-season, according to a statement on the Ajax website.
“Brian Brobbey has also arrived at training camp.” The agreement with RB Leipzig is finalized, therefore the Amsterdammer is also in Austria to prepare for the season,” an update from the website of Ajax said on Friday.
Brian Brobbey, 20, left Ajax in 2021 but his time at RB Leipzig did not go as planned. He has returned to his boyhood club determined to make it big.
